(untitled intro) // postmortem
i thought this one was lost to time! when i found it on a stray google doc, i knew i had to preserve it on this blog.
this one takes me back... it’s the introduction to a larger story i had planned out, where the main girl finds another girl that brightens her life and slowly takes her out of that monotonous routine. i had large ambitions, though i didn’t really know what the middle or ending of the story would be like. i was heavily inspired by Subarashiki Hibi and Monogatari, as well as the little bits of Umineko no Naku Koro ni i had read at the time.
the main character was supposed to be called Enkai, with her ‘friend’ Saori (who is actually the only one named in this, i think) and the eventual love interest was to be called Nova. but i never named the story itself... so, this isn’t called ”(untitled intro)” as something meta or artistic. it’s just me denoting that this is the introduction to a literally untitled story. but it’s kind of a neat title, right?~
i doubt i’ll try to continue this story like i once wanted to, but it’s nice to have such an early starting point for my writing. i don’t think anything older than this has survived the passage of time! who knows, maybe someday i’ll rework the concept into something new?
