a doll's aid // postmortem

for a long time, i’ve been a fan of inhuman girls and what they could be used to represent. picturing myself as the little doll, i went with that basic idea and tried to see where i could take it. i eventually came up with the second girl, the worn down robot, and my hands just kept on typing from there...

i think we are all wary or curious depending on the time of day. it’s hard to tear down your walls and let someone in, especially when it’s so easy to be exploited, even by others who share so much in common with you. we don’t understand each other at all, half the time. and that’s okay, we just need to make the effort... but when we don’t, it leads to hostility, avoidance, falling outs... and eventually, everyone’s trying to paint everyone else as the villain in the story. but at the very start, we might have just wished for a sincere connection.

thankfully, Lina and Ambre trusted each other, and it’s my hope that this is the sort of experience others can have with each other, too. when you find that one true love, you realize how it doesn’t have to be so violent, distrusting, nauseating or paralyzing... love is so calm and gentle when the two allow it to be.

i’m really happy with how this one turned out. i’ve considered including these two girls in even more stories together...! they’re really dear to my heart.
